Essex Senior League Golden Boot Race: Top 8 Goalscorers So Far

As we head into Christmas, the Essex Senior Premier Division has not disappointed in the goalscoring department. Gameweek 21 is approaching and there have been over 900 goals scored so far. Read this post to discover the top finishers in the Premier Division followed with interesting stats and information.

8: HASSAN NALBANT

(Romford FC)

Romford's main man up top has yet again been amongst the goals scoring 13 this season. Hassan scored 30 goals in 30 starts last season and said over the summer "Hope next season I get better numbers". His powerful presence followed by a deadly left foot has helped Romford climb to 4th in the table closely behind 1st place Sporting Bengal United.

7: ROMAN CAMPBELL

(Tilbury FC)

The 23 year old striker has scored 13 goals for Tilbury this season. Campbell has impressed being Tilbury's main source for goals, his name is expected on the scoresheet every game by the Tilbury fans. Scoring two against Little Oakley and Ilford FC, Roman Campbell will be looking to continue his goal consistency and climb up this list as the season progresses.

6: HARRY MANN (Little Oakley)

The long serving 26 year old for Little Oakley has scored 14 goals this season. Harry has the height and strength of a holdup striker but is also very good technically. Not to mention his ballstriking ability is top tier scoring multiple worldies at his time at Little Oakley. Including a David Beckham esque free kick against Basildon Town.

5: CALLUM BOYLAN

(Great Wakering Rovers)

Great Wakerings number 9 has reached an incredible 17 goals. His pace and agility has proven to be a massive problem for opposing defenders. Earlier in the season he scored a hat-trick against Basildon Town in a 5-2 victory. He said on X "Make that 16 in 16! Loving every minute of it, let's keep going!"

4: SHERMANDIN ARTMELADZE

(Sporting Bengal United)

The left winger from Georgia has scored 17 goals for Sporting Bengal so far this season who are top of the table. Consistently getting his name on the scoresheet, he especially impressed in the County Cup against AFC Wimbeldon scoring a hat trick in a 3-1 victory.

3: LUKE PARROTT

(Woodford Town)

The man who scored 18 goals this season for Woodford Town, has transferred to Hashtag United. In September Parrott netted braces over West Essex and Ilford, and more recent another brace aginst Clacton. Despite leaving on November 25th, he left his mark in the Essex Senior League placing 3rd in this list.

2: RICHARD KONE

(Athletic Newham FC)

The talented 20 year old who is very close to signing for Wycome Wanderers has scored 18 goals this season. For Newham, he scored 82 goals in the last 2 season as a teen. He also scored a hat trick against tilbury in a 3-0 win first game of the season, and has torn up the league since. This boy is a major talent who will go far in his career.

1. KANE GILBERT (Halstead Town)

And the highest goalscorer so far this season goes to Kane Gilbert who's found the net 19 times already this season. The Halstead striker has previously spent time on trial with FC Barcelona after impressing while playing for Peterborough United's youth team. He also scored a hat trick against West Essex in the County Cup and is continuing to prove why he's 1st place in this list.
