Luke May-Parrott Scores Hat-trick in a 7-2 Victory For Hashtag United

Luke May-Parrott starred in an impressive 7-2 Hashtag United victory last night scoring a hat-trick on his fifth appearance for the club.  


Hashtag now move to the 5th round of Velocity Cup after knocking Brightlingsea Regent out emphatically. 


Hashtag opened the scoring in the 16th minute after Pedro Banks cut the ball back to him from the right-hand side. Parrott was there to smash the ball into the back of the net for his first of the night.


Hashtag’s next goal was scored by a Brightlingsea. Matt Wooldridge cut the ball back into a dangerous area and it was turned in by Thompson in the 27th minute.


Quickly Hashtag scored again in the 34th minute, this time it was Misha who converted. Parrott’s effort was deflected, fortunately for the tags, Misha was there to leather it in from a couple of yards out.


10 minutes after his first Misha Djemailli scores again, this time off a volley. Parrott lifts a ball into Djemaili who takes a touch before unleashing a venomous volley smashing past the keeper. 


The half-time whistle blows and Hashtag go in 4-0 up on their opponents.


Humble opened the scoring for Hashtag in the second half putting his side 5-0 up. He linked up well Hassan before smashing into the bottom corner. 


It was two former Hashtag United players who combined to score for Brightlingsea. Harry Honesty finds Kojo Apenteng who scored a compilation for his side. 


Apenteng also got an assist in the 74th minute after crossing a ball that Nathan Smith was able to convert. The score was now at 5-2 with 15 minutes left to play.


Luke May-Parrott scored again for Hashtag in the 85th, it was his second attempt at goal after a good initial save. 


Parrott claimed his hat-trick in added time securing back Hashtag's five-goal lead. It was the best goal of the night with Parrott finding the bottom corner from the edge of the box. 


The full-time whistle blew and Hashtag finished the game 7-2 up. In only his fifth appearance for the club, Luke May-Parrot has four goals to his name averaging a goal every 0.8 games.


Hashtag will now move on to the 5th round of the cup. They have the potential to play: Haringey Borough, Hastings United, Ashford United, Chatham Town and the winners of Cheshunt vs Billericay, Badshot Lea vs Chipstead and Kingstonian vs Whitehawk.
